Champion Profile: Grasshopper

Our friends at Grasshopper understand the value of great customer relationships. They’ve built a great virtual phone system for small businesses, but they don’t stop there. They are always inspiring us with the amount of education and outreach they do to help small businesses succeed. We asked their marketing team to answer a few questions for this month’s Champion Profile.

What do you do?

The Grasshopper virtual phone system helps entrepreneurs sound more professional and stay connected from anywhere. With a toll free or local number and features including unlimited extensions, professional greeting and dial by name directory, Grasshopper helps your small businesses sound like a Fortune 500 company.

How does Batchbook help?

At Grasshopper we recognize the power of word of mouth referrals and are so fortunate to have customers that share our service with their friends. Using a CRM helps us to better understand and manage the relationships of our referrers. Often times we’ll see requests on Twitter or other social sites looking for recommendations for a service like Grasshopper. Rather than reaching out to these folks directly, with a biased recommendation for our service, we get the requestor in touch with one of our happy customers. Batchbook helps us to quickly find our happy customers and get them in touch with those interested in our service. We’re not only super fortunate to have this group of brand loyalists, but we’re lucky to have a system that makes it so easy to manage.

What is the best small biz advice you’ve ever received?

It’s not really small business advice, but more like life advice; one should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. It’s the golden rule that really applies to everything – including how you handle your customers. Keeping this in mind when planning any type of customer communication, marketing campaign, etc. can really help to positively influence the results.

Are you a Champion? If you use Batchbook for your small business, we’d love to profile you here. Send us a quick email to let us know you are interested.
