Friday afternoon seems like a great time to grab a cup of coffee or tea (or…) and take a little time to review the interesting things I read this week. Internally, the Batchbook team shares links to cool sites and articles that we find. I thought I should share some of them with you. Some are from our integration partners or services we use, some just caught my eye.
Win More Sales
First up, How to Win More Sales by Yesware’s guest blogger, Mike Schultz. Mike talks about building the customer relationship in order to help make sales. Since that’s one of our core beliefs here at Batchbook, this post caught my eye. You can learn more about using Yesware and selling via email from this recording of the webinar that we co-hosted with Yesware a couple of weeks ago.
Learn From Your Mistakes
If you haven’t met me, you may not know what a huge gushing fan I am of Wistia. We use Wistia to host our videos and to track the analytics from them. Their Learning Center is a wealth of information for anyone trying to get started making marketing videos for their business. In particular I enjoyed this post, Six Lessons from the Cutting Room Floor. As always, this post is informative, entertaining and honest. We all make mistakes sometimes with our marketing efforts, but the folks at Wistia have turned theirs into a great educational resource for their customers.
If you are trying to figure out how best to use Google+ like I am, The Ultimate Guide to Google Plus Posts by Martin Shervington is a great place to start. As Google+ has been more important in Google search results it’s becoming more and more important for business owners and marketers to understand how to use it. (I won’t try to kid you, you’ll need more than a few minutes to read this and watch all the videos.)
If you are interested in Email Marketing, UX and more interesting stats than you can shake a banana at, I recommend the MailChimp UX newsletter. The latest issue is Survey Says… but there are 9 previous issues to explore as well and you can sign up to have it delivered straight to your inbox.
Get Up and Dance
And since it’s Friday and I know you just wanna dance, check out this Stephen Colbert video. That is if you haven’t already watched it ten times. Oh wait, maybe that was me?
