Since we know that you have a lot to get done, we decided to make managing your Batchbook tasks a little easier. You live in your email inbox, so that’s where we focused our efforts with this latest update to the to-do feature in Batchbook.
Get More Info in Task Notifications and Reminders
For starters, we’ve pumped up the amount of information you get when you get a to-do notification or reminder. Previously, we would email to tell you about the task and direct you back to Batchbook to look at it. Now, you can view the task and description, as well as contact info for any contacts associated with the task, right in your email.
Have a task to call on a customer? When you get the reminder email on your smartphone, you can now just click on the contact’s phone number and place the call.
You will now have access to primary contact details for people and companies associated with your task. Here are some of the things you will be able to do right from the email:
- Place a call
- Send an email and record it to Batchbook
- Pull up directions
- Visit a website
Of course, you can still hop on over to Batchbook to complete the task.
Updated Formatting for Your Daily Task Digest
We’ve also improved the daily digest email. This email is sent every day and shows your upcoming tasks for today, tomorrow and the the next seven days.
For the digest, we focused on showing you a list of what will be due soon, to help you plan your day. You can see the to-do title as well as the due date/time, which is formatted for easy saving to your calendar if you are using an app like Gmail. You can jump to any of your upcoming tasks in Batchbook right from the digest.
More Mobile Friendly
With these updates, we’ve kept an eye on how these emails look if you read them on your smartphone. For instance, we’ve spaced out the daily digest so you could more easily tap on an individual task.
With the single to-do notification emails, you can tap on any of the contact details to help you complete your task. You can go from reading your task reminder about a meeting you have scheduled today to pulling up the directions to get there in a matter of seconds, all while eating a donut!
Make the Most Out of To-Dos
Excited about these changes? Make sure you are making full use of to-dos.
Set up notifications:
- To set up your daily notification email, click on your name and then on settings. Look for where it says notifications, and make sure the box is checked to get a daily digest of your upcoming to-do notifications.
- To set up a reminder for a specific to-do, click on add reminder when you are setting up or editing the to-do in Batchbook.
- Also note, whenever someone assigns you a task, you will automatically get notified right away via email.
To-do categories make managing your workflow easy. Set up categories for each of your lead follow up steps, for instance.
When you add to-dos, place them in the proper category. When you do this, you can filter to see just the tasks in a certain category as well as quickly see which step in your workflow a to-do falls into.
