5th Annual Batchbook Small Business Superhero Contest

It’s that time of year again! For the past five years, as a part of the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week, we’ve recognized the superheroic efforts that the small businesses we work with every day are making. In the past we have run a contest asking our customers and friends to nominate businesses they think would qualify and we have a wonderful time reading about the heroic feats of our fellow small businesses.

This year we are doing things a little differently and taking a more customer friendly approach to the contest. Rather than asking for nominations from our network, we are going to be unmasking the Small Business Superheroes ourselves. Over the years, we have come to know so many of our customers through support channels, social media conversations, SXSW parties and other events. We delight in hearing their back stories, helping them tackle business problems and hearing how the business is growing. In all this time of sharing tweets and tales, we have stumbled across a few heroes among us and think it is time to give these caped crusaders the recognition they deserve.

Starting today, and for the rest of this week we will be unmasking (with their permission, of course) those Batchbook customers who are using their small businesses superpowers to make the world a better place. We will share a bit about their small business adventures, feats of strength and hidden superpowers. We are also sending these humble heroes a small token of gratitude for their unwavering efforts.

So, without further ado, the Superheroes are:

And we would love to hear of any small businesses that you think are hiding some secret superpowers. Please give a shout out in the comments below to anyone who has scaled customer service problems in a single bound, pursued justice in the face of a down economy, or just gone above and beyond to be super awesome. We’d love to recognize them and may just send a little something to make their day!
