Get Things Done
On a holiday weekend, when you want to be sure to get out of the office at a decent hour, you might wish you had some productivity tips. Our friends at Grasshopper recommend you Beef Up Productivity in the First Hour of Every Day. I realize it may be a little late in the day for this post, but there are some good ideas to help you in the future. If you didn’t catch Bradford’s post from earlier this week, he has some great ideas to help your productivity too (I’m still trying to get my tabs under control, current count: 31). If none of that helps, you might consider outsourcing some of your tasks. Erika Napoletano’s article, Outsourcing: Finding The Help You Need Without Breaking The Bank can help you decide where to start.
Social Media is Part of My Job! Really…
Looking for ways to convince your coworkers that you Really Are Working when you’re on Facebook? Lifehacker’s Not Just a Useless Time Suck: The Most Valuable Uses for Facebook can help you make your case. Thanks to Lifehacker, Facebook Interest Lists are my new BFF. Also helpful, Jeff Bullas’ 5 Cool Apps to Save You from Social Media Overload can help you curate your social media streams and (hopefully) get more done.
Get Some Exposure
PR Basics for Designers from Maker’s Row is a great post for any business owner who is trying to get exposure in the press. While some ideas are fashion-specific, there is plenty to learn here for other types of businesses as well. Start by telling your story, it helps people to connect.

One of the BatchKids suggested this tune as the Batchbook theme song earlier this week. I have to admit it’s kinda catchy (hopefully not too). Go forth and deliver the rainbows my friends! I hope you have a fabulous weekend! If you’re looking for me, I’ll be Facebooking… I mean, you know, working.
